You might be wondering…
Do I need horse experience?
No. All time with the horses is guided and done at your comfort level. You will never be asked to ride or do anything you don’t feel ready for.
What if I’m nervous around horses?
Many people are at first. You won’t be pushed. You can go slowly, observe, or participate in ways that feel safe. Simply being near the herd is often enough for the experience.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Participants stay in shared cabins (same-gender sleeping arrangements). Cabins are simple and comfortable, designed for rest and quiet rather than luxury.
Are bathrooms and showers indoors?
The retreat uses clean outdoor washroom and shower facilities. A packing list will be sent ahead of time so you know exactly what to bring and feel comfortable.
Are meals included?
Yes. Healthy, nourishing meals are provided throughout the weekend. Dietary needs can be discussed after registration.
What if it rains?
We adapt. Some experiences happen under shelter and some in nature. Weather often becomes part of the grounding and slowing down that makes the retreat meaningful.
Do I have to share personal things in the group?
No. You are always free to share only what feels right for you. Listening and observing are completely valid ways to participate.
Is this therapy?
No. This is a guided personal growth retreat and experiential learning environment, not a clinical therapy program.
Is the retreat open to both men and women?
Yes. The group is intentionally small and participants are selected carefully to maintain a respectful, grounded, emotionally safe space for everyone.
What should I bring?
Comfortable outdoor clothing, layers, walking shoes, a journal, toiletries, and personal items. A detailed packing list will be sent after registration.
